These are composites we produce based on polypropylene resin. These materials are developed following stringent characteristics, and according to the application and specifications detailed by the end user.

Widely used throughout the world, polypropylene composites use additives and modifying reinforcements to give this polyolefin a unique performance that can be used in a wide range of applications. Some of the main benefits are:

High rigidity and abrasion resistance;

  • Low specific gravity;
  • Good impact resistance and fatigue resistance;
  • Excellent resistance to chemicals;
  • Excellent resistance to humidity;
  • Easy processing.

The components (PP resin, additives, mineral fillers, elastomers, etc.) are subjected to an extrusion process in order to produce the composite that will be used by part transformers.

The types of PP composites vary depending on the essential additives and pigments, and are tailored to a customer’s needs and applications. They are:

PP with Talc

This uses talc as a mineral filler and reinforcing material. Its most common applications are found in the automotive industries (bumpers, instrument panels, side doors and other forms) and home appliances (air-conditioning, pool filters, fans), among others.

PP with Calcium Carbonate

The load input, in this case, is calcium carbonate (CaCO3). It is often used in the packaging and garden furniture industries due to its premium appearance.

PP with Glass Fiber

The main element here is fiberglass, which acts as a structural reinforcing material. The difference is in the shape, which can be short, medium or long fibers for use inside motors or structural pieces for household appliances.

PP with Long Glass Fiber (LGF)

Long glass fiber is used in structural automotive parts to replace various metal pieces and achieve weight reduction, stiffness and high impact resistance.

PP with Talc and Elastomer

In addition to the additives and pigments, this material receives elastomers as impact modifiers, which is necessary in order to achieve the appropriate balance of properties for the application – used in the automotive industries (technical parts).

PP with Hybrid Filler

This composite can receive various types of mineral fillers (talc, fiber, others) as well as elastomers, if necessary. It is also used to find an ideal balance for the application and is used in the automotive industries.
